My life long dream is about to come to fruition. I have always wanted to go back to my roots and have a little mini farm. That is now about to come true.
The cows are coming home on the evening of June 16, 2016. Four White Park Galloways from Misty Meadow Farms in Weyers Cave, Virginia will be the start of my herd of mini cows. Do you know how had it is to move cattle across state lines? I finally found Rita with Crazy H Transports to move them but the paperwork is more extensive than when I moved my two dogs from Africa. Yes, it was a lot less hassle to move Dar and Mr Gibbs from the African continent -- Tanzania -- than to move cows from Virginia to Indiana. But it is worth the wait.
The guinea keets are supposed to arrive around July 12 and these will be the start of the poultry flock.
Lots more updates coming soon.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
